Serving clients throughout Maine

As a Maine-based psychosocial OT, I help you feel like an active participant in your own life. I help you develop the life skills, motivation, routines, and coping strategies you need to thrive as an adult—especially when you or a loved one have a diagnosis of ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, or Autism.

Hi! I'm Haley, a licensed occupational therapist based in the greater Portland, Maine area with a passion for helping young adults navigate the complexities of adulting—especially when neurodivergence is part of the picture.
I believe that thinking like an OT is a superpower. For my occupational therapy doctoral research, I developed workshops to help young adult camp leaders build critical thinking, well-being, and self-efficacy. That project evolved into Hummingbird OT, where I now support adults in developing routines, coping skills, and self-care strategies that actually work for them.
I'm curious, engaged, and committed to meeting you where you are. Whether you're navigating college, starting your career, figuring out parenting, or just feeling like you're missing the adulting handbook everyone else seems to have, I'm here to help you build the skills and confidence you need to thrive.
Psychosocial OT focuses on the mental, emotional, and social aspects of daily living. Rather than physical rehabilitation, I help you develop life skills, routines, coping strategies, and habits that support your mental health and overall well-being. It's especially helpful for managing neurodivergence and life transitions.
I'm a private pay practice, which means you pay out of pocket for sessions. However, I provide superbills at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many clients receive partial or full reimbursement depending on their out-of-network benefits.
No! While I specialize in working with neurodivergent young adults, you don't need a formal diagnosis to benefit from occupational therapy. If you're struggling with executive function, routines, work-life balance, or adulting in general, I can help.
While therapists focus on processing emotions and past experiences, occupational therapists focus on practical skills and strategies for daily living. I help you build routines, develop coping mechanisms, improve executive functioning, and create systems that work with your brain—not against it.
My office is located in Biddeford, Maine, serving clients throughout Southern Maine including Portland, Scarborough, Biddeford, and surrounding communities. I offer both in-person sessions locally and virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Maine.
